Brenda Eve Ladin is a passionate advocate for students as both an Educator and an Activist. Since obtaining her M.A. in Education in 1995, Brenda has been actively combining her interests in faith, politics, and education, from PreK through college levels. Brenda taught in Seattle, at a suburban, sheltered high school ELL program, for students new to America, and for an urban, sheltered elementary Special Education program, specializing in environmental education. In Beijing, China, Brenda was an Educator for three pilot programs; a stand alone Kindergarten, an International School, and Project Global Access, where she taught students looking to obtain a diploma to study in America. As an Administrator, Brenda opened the doors for the first of three urban tutoring centers, as the Director. Brenda led a team of 22 Teachers and 22 Assistants as the Academic Dean for the Summer Institute for the Gifted, an established international program, at the University of Chicago. Brenda has been involved with a number of Jewish communal groups, including the Seattle Jewish Film Festival, and as a Millstone Fellow for the St. Louis Jewish Federation. Brenda's interest in politics include consulting as a member of the Missouri Executive Council for AARP, recounting votes for a contested statewide Governor's race in Washington State, and working as Nevada Operative for the hotly contested Presidential, Senate, and Congressional races in 2000. Brenda is now thrilled with the opportunity to again work with students, parents, teachers and the community to open up America's resources for college, for the youth of Brazil.
